Many games of that era (the Microprose games, the EA games, also the German Pole Position) had those horrible pre-rendered racing scenes, where usually within a split second you knew 'Oh my god, that's the 'engine blown'-sequence'.

F1 has constantly shot itself in the foot regarding it's attempts to reach the new generation with social media, apps and the like. It is a scaled down, basic version of the PC game and imo opinion a better one for the casual fan as the PC game literally takes days to complete one season. I have long been hoping that we will get an official update to the much loved GPM2 but have came to the conclusion that the cost of making a Football Manager type official F1 game and the demand for it don't match up.
